Severe Weather

Severe weather is not just rain or snow, it also includes storms, gale force winds, heatwave and dense fog - all can have a serious impact on our day to day life.

The National Severe Weather Warning Service (NSWWS) warns the public and emergency responders of severe or hazardous weather which has the potential to cause danger to life or widespread disruption.

Information on current weather conditions can be found on the Met Office website by clicking here.

It's not just the Met Office that keeps you up to date with disruption due to weather.  Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) have an excellent leaflet that gives you good advice should you experience the power going off.
