Dorset LRF Cyber Information

Being prepared for cyber incidents

At a time when connectivity between digital systems is becoming ever more prevalent, ensuring you know where to turn for advice and guidance, whether a business or an individual, is really important.

Dorset LRF provides the links below to sign post you to this key information.

The UK's Independent Authority on Cyber Security

Launched in October 2016, the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) supports the most critical organisations in the UK, the wider public sector, industry, SMEs as well as the general public.

Cyber Resilience for the South West

The Cyber Resilience Centre for the South West (SWCRC) is part of the national roll out of Cyber Resilience Centres in the UK which began in 2019. Led by policing and facilitated by Business Resilience International Management (BRIM), SWCRC works in structured partnership with regional Policing, Academia, Businesses, Third and Public Sector organisations.

Cyber Crime

Dorset Police is the go to place for advice to individuals and local businesses and they have a lot of information that's practical for both.

Looking beyond Dorset for Cyber Crime Action

In the UK, 9 regions work together to be better able to fight cyber crime and organised crime.  For the South West of England, the counties of Dorset, Devon & Cornwall, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Avon & Somerset, work across their county borders to crack serious and organised crime networks and seize the assets of the criminals involved.

Protect your business

Cyber Resilience is complementary to Business Continuity and given the challenging environments in which businesses now operate, Business Continuity Management (BCM) has become increasingly important.
